For weeks, I juggled between making this post and not.
But yeah, this is important. Let’s call it closure. ?
Back in 2016, while I took a gap year after high school, I decided to start a blog.
I wasn’t even sure of what I wanted to blog about – I thought about exercise, food, fashion.
I settled for Personal Development/Inspiration.
LemonsLemonadedotcom was born.
It took months of staying up till 4 am most nights, creating posts, editing images and networking plenty. The site’s ranking grew pretty fast.
In January 2017, I got into the University. I had just a month to get ready for my first exams.
My blog suffered terribly. I had over 1000+ comments waiting for approval. My emails were piling up. My Facebook Page was gathering dust. I had way too much on my plate.
When my site expired in the middle of 2017, I knew I didn’t want to renew it.
Until I saw how much the Domain name was selling for. (Then I almost thought I wanted it back.)
But nope. I didn’t. (#280,000 for one domain name? Pass.)
That showed me I did a lot right with my first blog, and I couldn’t be prouder of myself.
That one year? Changed my entire life literally.
I found my love, but I hadn’t grasped how to turn my passion into a real brand.
Fast forward to now. My 3rd year in school is starting soon. I’m more in tune with how to manage school and work. I’m ready to build a portfolio. I’ve discovered a lot of new ways to push my creative side. I want that life again.
I managed to get almost all my articles back. (Without my comments, unfortunately).
And I’m ready to begin afresh.
LemonsLemonade was by a 17-year-old who was finding herself through the process of writing.

Plus she’s really not going anywhere again.
